History

Political violence in the late 1980’s and 90’s in KwaZulu-Natal led to a wide range of displacement of scholars and students across the province, having been part of a wide community based ‘MASS MOVE’ matriculant education campaign in 1991 in townships around the city of Durban. Having helped over 400 matriculants to establish and expand the Durban City Hall center under MASS MOVE matriculant self-help programme and matriculating from the programme. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in University of Durban Westville 1997, post Graduate LLB (NDP) and MA, Social Policy, pending.

 

2000, Hlubi Ventured in business, Lala Ngoxolo Funeral Services as the response to the outbreak of HIV-Aids. 2001 a consortium of Durban Professionals come together creating Peace of Mind Risk Management Services (Pty) Ltd; business was awarded underwriting services for all eThekwini municipality graves services in partnership with, Nest life Assurance Limited.

 

2005, Peace of Mind bought 50%, Shipping and Transport Logistics Services (Pty)Ltd, PMB Petroleum (Pty)Ltd, Siyakhula Fuels, the Oil Center Durban, Engen Ltd, diesel, lubricants and bulk fuel Distribution network, served 5 Years as Deputy Managing Director.

 

2012 to 2015 Construction boom post 2010 World Soccer Cup, Hlubi served as a Director at INCLEDON (Pty) Ltd, (fluid engineering) a subsidiary of a construction distribution and logistics Company DAWN LTD. Hlubi was a founder and Director of INCLEDON-KZN.

Having trained and partnered with RGA Consulting developing (New way of doing Business for eThekwini Municipality, transforming from transitional local government to eThekwini Metro), Hlubi studied and developed consulting methodologies that work in shaping group think. 2011 Established Siyathembana which later changed name to 2014 Amavamahle (Pty)Ltd.

 

South Africa as a developmental state has undergone many transformational paradigms. CHANGE has been the biggest unique challenge; black people in general have been the least beneficiaries in this rollercoaster of Government Transformation Agenda.
